DAMS on the Mekong??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That means the mekong stingrays would be in danger too. :( Sounds like chinese paddlefish all over again.

what about the cats too?

A lot of human activities are causing our ecological balance to collapse. This sucks.:(

IF this really does happen, we can all kiss a lot of large species of fish good bye...

People suck. We kill it all. Maybe not you or I, but us. It's amazing we haven't killed more. I'm sure there's stuff out there we don't even know we killed either. But how great is anything unless you exploit it? And people wonder why I wanna go lock up in a shack in the woods.

Dams have to be my least favorite thing on Earth. Can't we use some other source of power, like solar (especially in locations like Thailand, with intense sun and heat).

The same thing is happening in Louisiana with sediment flow and saltwater encroachment, thus diminishing alligator gar spawning grounds.

I'm lost isn't that fish a major staple of the local fishermen? Wouldn't this in effect starve their own people. You can have the power for a Plasma TV but food is your problem. Sounds like bad idea all around.
