I got a a yellow tail damsel about 4 days ago as my first fish to put in my tank, he seemed to be doing very well so today I got a 2nd one from the same group from the store because I know they like groups!-- The first one goes after the 2nd one, I have heard that damsels are aggressive and can easily become territorial but that the yellow tailed damsel is one of the least aggressive-- do you think this will stop and they will get along after a little while or not? Anything I can do? I might add a 3rd if this one works out!

Don't know where you heard they like groups. Damsels are probably the most territorial salt water fish for their size out there. You can do them in large groups of 12+ without incident, but a pair is just going to beat on one another 'til they're dead.

If you want a group of fish look into cardinals or chromis instead...

damsels are crazy...they fight like crazy...

if you have a big enough tank certain damsels will school

yellow tails, springer's, green/reef chromis are a few

Damsels have gotten themselves a pretty good reputation. Most people think that they are great community fish...but they are extremely agressive, one of the most agressive and territorial in my oppinion. I would stay away from trying to keep them together as they are just gonna fight and stress each other out.

just like any fish some are pu...ppies :D and some are total A holes

the ones i mentioned earlier are the least A holish of the group.. the chrysiptera damsels and chromis genus chromis

dascyllus or neo/paraglyphodon, as well as some stegastes and pomacentrus, are the worst of the bunch
