Dap 08642 Dow Corning Black Silicone Sealant 10.1-Ounce

Is Dap 08642 aquarium safe/strong? I thought resealing an aquarium would be easy, but there are literally dozens of silicones. I want black silicone, but GE only has clear.

Should be. Looking at the ingredients it's all silanes and oil, then a little carbon black for the black. The big thing you want to avoid is fungicides, which I don't see.

Why do you want black instead of clear?

Having owned a tank with black silicone I really wish they were all made with it. Much cleaner looking and you cant see the algae that likes to grow on the seam.
