Dark Gravel

Has anyone had experiences with Datnoids and dark gravel? Does the color of a Datnoid get stunted because of the gravel?

I don't personally think that the subsrate you choose actully changes the colors of your fish but a contrasting background or gravil can certianly make the colors appear more brilliant.

Well dark substrate make your fish darken up and light substrate/background makes them lighten up... Happens with most fish.
