My mom's suggestion.. I figured I'd give it a try on my FH tank. Substrate will be pool filter sand. The spraypaint is still drying but I will get some pictures later. Anybody ever try any crazy colors? So far I've tried the black, blue, and the textured stuff. I love the one tank I put the textured paint on, then the next one didn't turn out so good. Some of the textures are good, some are bad. The bigger the grains in the paint the better.

Share some photos of your current backgrounds ;)
I'd love to see to them. I have a tank that still needs painting and I'm undecided :screwy:
I'm thinking grey or textured grey, or go black to be on the safe side.

The purple looks awesome, but I didn't take any pictures of it because the water was cloudy from my pool filter sand.. I will try for some pictures of all of my backgrounds tomorrow. It's just a pain in the ... because I don't have lights on half of my tanks lol.

heres one shot of the purple

Why bother with a background if you can't see it because of no lights? :screwy:
I'd go nuts if I didn't have lights on my tanks.

I usually can't watch 15 tanks at once. If there's something I want to watch, I'll pickup a light and move it 2 feet. I can barely afford to run the heaters and filters on these tanks after the electricity bill. I only run lights when I'm watching my fish or when I'm feeding them. They might get 2 hours worth of light every day.

argh i cant see your pics at work :nilly: but here's the 2.5g tank i setup for my mom at her house :)
