i need some ideas for some dark colored rocks for my african cichlid tank. i need something to darken up my tank. the tank is too light and my frontosa are looking pale because of it. i want to keep a natural look. anyone have any ideas.?

Go to your local lake and get some igneous rocks.

i have lava rock and most of the local rock is to rough.

:iagree: plus around here you can get lava rocks that are bone, charcoal, or burgundy colored

Paint the back round black.

i igot black and white peppered sand. the back ground is black. i think i'm just going to try to find some really dark colored boulders

Landscape suppliers and your local all in one hardware mega super store (wallmart?) will carry dark/black decorative pebbles in the garden section.

Pensylvania blue stone. Get chunks or flag, comes green, grey, blue, and purple.
