Dark Sand

I am looking for dark sand that is either black or with a red tint, does not effect the pH, and will not require rinsing for three days to be usable, would also be nice if it would not stir up as much.

I have 300 pounds of it and I love it, alot of rinsing though. It has brought out the color of my puffer but my pbass look too dark. Dont use it if you have fish that poop alot or you will be siphoning every day.

used tms before. worked great, no noticeable changes to tank parameters. only thing was i musta required a 'three day rinse' prior to putting it in my tank cause it took about two days to settle out.

Try Tahitian Moon, or black beauty sand.

Both are black, not sure about the PH levels, don’t be lazy. Clean your gravel before you put it in.
