I captured this image of my beta male Cyphotilapia gibberosa Mikula this afternoon. I rarely shoot the right side of my 125 gallon tank and I am not quite sure why. The rock pile on this side has a tunnel that the fish like to use. So, I decided to move my tank light to the right side and set up my tripod there too. I liked this image because of the shadows and this male moving from the shadows into the light. I always seem to prefer under exposing pictures from my frontosa tanks as their blues seem to be much deeper and darker which I enjoy.

For those that enjoy settings, here they are for this image:
Canon EOS Rebel T2i
Tamron 10-24mm wide angle lens
Focal length: 21.0mm
f/4.5
1/100
ISO: 800

Mikula Group Nyazti

Always enjoy feedback (positive or construction) - this has been a wonderful forum for personal learning!!!

Cheers,
Russ

Sorry, one more  The dark little blue female struck a pose right in front of the camera. Couldn't resist :)

Got a series with my alpha (Nyatzi) in this tank going through the tunnel. Soon in the new year, I am thinking about getting a speedylight (per Brent's suggestions in a couple other posts - looking forward to that). For now, here's a few no flash, slow shutter, low f-stop, medium high ISO pics :)

Happy New Years Everyone :)

Cheers,
Russ
