some of our african cichlids have developed some dark spots on them all of the sudden.. anyone have any idea what that would be? i would take a picture but they are to fast

A clear picture or at least as detailed a discription as possibile would help trying to determine what this might be. You have to give us a little more to go on.
I know, it was pretty vague wasnt it? well the tank is at my girlfriends house but she also has trouble getting pictures.. i guess the best way to descrive it is kinda like shadowy spots... not small dots like ich.. Almost like little bruises i guess? There was one fish in the tank that ended up dying before we could figure out exactly what was wrong with him. I think it was waste disease? big lumps with some discoloration... anyway, the guy at the fish store said it looked like flukes so we got the medicine he recommended which didnt help. We then got melafix and shortly after the fish died. Im not sure if its all connected or what. I hope not, we have quite a few africans 
sorry it took so long to get a pic. finally one held still for a shot.... the spots all over his forehead area..they are on a few of the other fish as well. Were on my buttikoferi but those have dissapeared
