Hi everyone!

Just joined as I didn’t know such a great resource as you guys existed! I was wondering if anyone could help in identifying if the darkening on my delhezi bichir is normal or possibly an infection or even an ammonia burn. Got this guy from a friend 4 weeks ago and the little guy’s been growing like a weed since. I don’t notice anything out of the ordinary in terms of activity and he seems very active. The darkened fins aren’t frayed or showing damage, just hyperpigmented.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. Have seen this before and ended up just some hyperpigmentation. Not much more.
