Hi guys, I'm a first time Bass keeper and wondering what's causing the fish to darken.(2 of them, make and female). Water condition is good and I do regular water changes. Is this normal or something I should watch and treat. Please see below for the before and after darkening.

probably just normal behavior males and females exhibit when with each other, possibly spawning behavior or aggression, I don't think darker color is necessarily a reason treat them. Could also have been paler color due to stress from acclimating and the darker colors you are seeing now could just be their normal coloration

Normally it means that they are stressed when they darken. What size tank, and tankmates?

Bass mature late and spawn when they're big. Your fish aren't adults and aren't exhibiting spawning behaviour.

The tank is 6L x 2.5H x 1.5W, tank mates are Tinfoil Barbs, blood Parrots and assortment of small catfish and Plecos.
They are fine now, not sure why but all seems ok now.
Thanks guys
