Dat 60 uk gal grow out?For 5 years...

I've been told if I get 2 dats they would be slow growers and i could keep them there for 5 years with some polys and an eel or two..Whats your view in this?

sounds ok but dats are slow grows so yh should b ok

Don't keep 2 dats there will be aggression, add another and make it 3 to even out the aggression. Food, water, tank size, etc...will determine the growth rate of the dats. 5 years in a 60 gal is too small...

3 yrs? With jst one dat and more polys and a bigger eel?

what size are you getting them as this make a difference too how long in a 60g, i would either get 1 or get a 3+.

Dimension are

120cm long
55cm high
40cm wide

Its actually 58 gals but.....I say 60


The dats in the shop are about 3-7 inches i would pick the smallest one.

a tank that size and a datnoid at 3'' could last around 2-3 years depending on feeding,water quality etc etc etc.
polys would be ok as long as its a smaller species.

id say you would be fine for a few years with just one.

Hmmm... just found out my dad dosen't like the dats ANY of them =O so I cant get them Might get 'sharks' instead maybe ill get a few maroon and apollo sharks =]]
