In a box of Pop Tarts!
I bought 2 dats from a member. I have been keeping a close eye on em and I am noticing that one of them is considerably darker than the other. I look at everybody pict and they all have a nice tan color. However mine is almost a dirty brown. Is this a stress thing or is it normal. I am not observing any weird behavior other than he like to swim on his back ;) Just kidding. He is eating and seems ok. The pict I have are not great. I will bring in my better camera and see if I can get some better pict. The dat facing right is the one with the dark coloring.

They might look better is they had something to eat. You can tell by the jawline that these guys havn't eaten in awhile. Put some meat on these guys and they should look alot less stressed, and will probably ,though not gauranteed, show alot better color.

Well they do like to eat. Any suggestions. I feed them blood worms and shrimp. any other thoughts. I usually feed 3 x a week. Is that OK or should I go more. I have only had these guys for 4 days.

these guys are too small to eat 3 times a week. I would feed them twice daily until they are out of the starvation danger zone

yea deffinitely i feed twice a day for juvies, even for my big boys i feed once a day and give them sunday off

Thanks I will do that. I will start a 2 a day feeding. They are at my office so sat and sun will be out but after that 2 a days will begin. Thanks once again.

give it some time...i have 4 2-3" indo 2 of them are very stable and colorful and other 2 look like your. keep feeding them 2-3 time a day and keep the water clean. no need to worry about it. it's normal for them to change color especailly indo.

I definitely agree with feeding twice a day.

At this point, the bloodworms my not be doing enough for them nutritionally. Try adding some beefheart to the mix. It's much higher in protein than a lot of other foods out there. I wouldn't be dumping beefheart in all the time, but it will help fatten him up pretty quickly.
