Dat Help

it's a slow grow rate...55gallon would be good for very long time.

I started some in a 20 and then moved them to a 37 and then they eventually ended up in a 150. It wasn't till they were in the 150 when I started to notice a quicker growth rate. (The biggest one is only around 5" after a year.) So, a 55 would be fine for a year or maybe 2.

My Smalle Wide bar only grow 1-2" inch in year so good luck. Just make sure you have enough oxygen and good filteration for these fish.

By the way, in my opinion, if i own a 2" dat i would keep it in a smaller tank to check on its health and to see if its eating and shiet.

.....and yes it is fresh water.
