Just got my first Dat. thin bar about 4 inches from shark aquarium, in a 125 with some less aggressive fish. So far, he has great colors that come out when he is swimming around the tank. but more then half the time he is in the corner hiding behind the heater and very dark. given i have only had him for about 24 hrs, so im sure it will take time for him to acclimate. but i have heard from someone at the lfs that they can be very difficult when it comes to hiding and eating???

i know lots of people have them here, and i have learned a little bit. but wondering a couple things, maybe the experts can give some adivse:

what are the best water conditions/tank conditions for them?
what are the best foods for them?

any other advise would be great

the dat I used to have would only eat frozen or freeze dried krill. It wouldn't even go close to any kind of pellets or food sticks. I can't remember if it ever ate an earthworm or not but it probably would have. I was kind of lucky though because the guy that I bought it from said he had conditioned it on krill. I don't know how difficult it would have been to get it onto krill had he not already conditioned it. :)

as oh about 30 hrs, doesnt seem to have had anything to eat, need to buy krill

i got 3 indos and a silver and i have to hand feed em krill or kinda float it in their direction you could also feed them with the lights off on live foods like ghost shrimp, small guppys
