SO i want a Yellow and Black Dat... One that needs 0 salt in the tank... THinbars are generally Brown?> what color are indo's brown too?, Any pics of your own Variety of Dat would be great.

Cuz i have a million questions, dont be a dink... just answer if u have sumthin good to say.. if im that much of a hassle dont spend ur "precious" time reading my posts..

My tank is cycled i only set it up a few months ago..
Get off me

I've already answered your question previously in another thread. I recommended an Indo dat (D. microlepis) based on your desire for a FW yellowish dat that is cheaper than a widebar and not as brownish as a thinbar. However, here are some pictures to help illustrate the difference. Here's a picture of an Indo dat:

Thinbar dat (D. undecimradiatus) for comparison:

Hope that helps you with your datnoid questions (and the propensity to start multiple posts asking the same question, for that matter). :D

I havent tested my nitrites, i probably should, and yes my tank was just set up, i just bought the 90 gallon, with some dough i made at school ha

Which is it dink? Did you just set it up or has it been set up for a few months?

Oh and to let you know all dats can get dark depending on various conditions...

To me a tank that hasnt been running for atleast 5-6 months is still cycling itself.. Sry to bother you and ask questions, i just dont want to go out and purchase a fish i dont know anything about.. I dont think thats unreasonable.. Thanks for the pointers guys,, even tho u were givin me SHat..-josh

BTW-thanks for the pics ITchy:hitting: :hitting: :WTF:

No problem. For future reference, a tank is still cycling if it has detectable amounts of ammonia or nitrites. A fully cycled tank has 0 ppm ammonia, 0 ppm nitrites, and typically some nitrates as a by-product of the nitrogen cycle.

Good that you're doing your research on Datnioides microlepis and not Cannabis sativa. ;)
