can i put a dat. with a gar and an aro. in a 155:confused:

The tiger and the dragon are a classic combo. Just make sure they are similar in size and you should be all good ;) All you need now is the phoenix!

I kind of want to do the same thing, but not in a 155. Im buying a 180 as a growout for a black arowana and was wondering if I could keep Dats with in the 180? I was considering p-bass but they just grow to fast!

Also, in two years Im getting a 375 gallon tank (96''longx25''highx36''wide)

My original plan was One black arowana, two silvers, and three p-bass.

But Im starting to really like Dats now.

So I'm wondering how many dats could be kept with three aro's in a 375 and how many dats can be kept with one black arowana in a 180 for two years..

I have also heard dats grow very slow, wich is similar to black arowanas in a way and I think it would make a great combo.

i have 2 silvers and a jar which are about 5-7" with a few 1" dats and some larger ones. silvers and jar never mess with the dats.

ive heard dats grow slow, but from personal experience it seems like a few of my dats grow faster than my jar.

Cool!

I'm just wondering what ammount I could do. I was thinking three dats with the black aro in the 180.

They would move with the black aro into the 375 and get two silver aro's as tankmates. So in all the 375 will have a trio of dats and a trio of aro's!

Thats awesome your jar is doing well with tankmates, but watch him once he gets past 8''! Im going to put a jardini in my 180 after Im done using it as a growout.

np as long as aro bigger than dat.. some dats are very aggressive so watch out
