Well, I have read on many forums that you can not keep two dats in tank with out them fighting. I have two that really get along well. With the introduction of the smaller dat my larger my larger one became insaine!! He chases and bullys all other tank mates. Now the smaller one is in on the action and they beat on there neighbors together. They are also swiming together constantly and if one bolts across tank the other fallows.

One is about 11" and the other maybe 7". I was wondering if anyone thinks it is possible that maybe they change gender when reaching a certain size. You know like the most dominant male turns female in anwmone fish or dominant female turns male in sheepheads.

I do not know enough about the physiology of Danioide's to make a claim like this but I was hoping that maybe somebody out there would.

Anybody with any speculation or insite on the subject please chime in. There has to be a way to breed these guys!

Ask Li if he keeps any tankmates with his hoard.

I kept my 2 14" datnoids together for a year or so.

They got on very very well and constantly slapped and carried on.

Nothing ever came of it though.

their normaly is no problems with one large tiger and one smaller

the problems happen when they are near the same size
