Datnioides microlepis with koi?

I have 2 with koi but some koi started to die... Can dats kill them?

No, it's a bad mix,

Dat's can be aggressive and will pick at/attack tankmates stressing them to the point of death. koi would be easy targets for a dat.

Not to mention the higher temperature water that dats and most tropical fish live in but is not the best conditions for koi...Koi are very active and I can see most dats pretty much ignoring them,they definitely won't try to keep up with the constant movement of koi.

kois need colder water than datnoids. The temperature plus the aggresive killed the kois.
