hey guys!

i was wondering how u guys take care of the datnioids (pulcher) when the are young. since there growth rate is slow (ive heard) u cant let them grow up with pbass / oscar fish / stingrays. Or can u?

do all people with monsterfish tanks add there datnioids at adult size or am i wrong?

i would like to here youre ideas and expierence about this situation.

thnxs!

Yes you cant grow pbass with dats together since dats grow so slow. They will become food when the pbass get large enough to eat them. You can mix dats of diff size together since dats aren't cannibals.

so normally al the com. tanks with pbass/stingrays/oscars/arowana etc. the datnioids have been added when the are at adult size? is there no other option?

well bigger fish will try to eat the little ones as long as it fits in their mouth. but when you get them when they are all young it shouldnt be a problem.

you've got a young pulcher!! lucky lucky person. :-)

Make sure dats are not so small so as to fit in other tank mates mouths. With such a slow growing nature, its prob safer to add semi mature tigers.
