Any one ever seen this before ... Was just sitting there and bam... The NTT took a strike at me jardini.. Weird huh? Btw the jardini is 9-10" and the datnoid is around 6-6.5.. And unstable but colored up when attacking the jardini... I also have two other datnoids (NTT) and they don't even mess with the jar.. So let me know if you've seen this before

when my NGT felt really afraid he would attack my aro tooo.. the NGT would nip the aro.. my aro is 24" and my NGT is 7-8".. i have 2 NGTs and one IT..not very offen i see it nipping the aro but mostly the aro would pick on them..

My 2" dat sometimes swipes at the dominant flameback cichlid in his quarantine tank. I have yet to see a scratch on either of them though.

Not weird, those two fish are a notoriously bad pairing.Sometimes they get along though.

My AT used to go at it with my FL gar all time, not as much since moved both to larger tank, but still fight occassionally. That AT has been unusually aggressive tho compared to others ive owned. Normally fight was provoked by gar getting into dats space. Gar has bit his tail fin couple times, but no major damage. Dats never left mark on gar, but it sure will push around that gar 2x his size!

this is not strange at all most larger tigers are sold due to conflict with aros this mix doesnt always work long term

I think what the op is saying is that a 6inch NTT attacked a larger JARDINI ARO. Maybe i'm wrong, but i thought NTT's were considerably less aggressive towards other larger species. I don't believe this is the norm
