So I have a 11 inch datnoid. He eats market shrimp and massivore. I hate feeding fish shrimp, he loves the shrimp more than the massivore though. He eats 4 or 5 large shrimps at once, but he only takes 4 or 5 massivore at once.

My other fish eat the massivore too and he only eats it if it falls right on top of him. Is this normal?

5 Massivore is a million times more nutritious and healthier than 5 shrimp. (even if they are jumbo schrimp/prawns)
The fact that it on pellets is good thing. Now the trick is to get it onto a variety of pellets.
I mix in a tub (all hikari brands) ; Massivore, cichlid gold sinking, sturgeon. I also add a cheaper sturgeon pellet (orchard fisheries)

So my tigers get 4 types of pellets.
I also mix in

So I don't have to feed him shrimp? He eats the sinking cichlid gold pellets too sometimes. But only if it's right on top of him, he doesn't go hunting for it like the cichlids do. Maybe it's because I'm keeping him with cichlids lol.

Hi jimmy.
I'm not saying you don't have to feed schrimp.
I also throw in schrimp 3-4 times a week. But pellet mix is at least twice a day every day.
I just do it so they have pellets as staple. They still go more crazy for the prawn/schrimp.
Some tigers , will only take pellet if they are dropped one by one near their head... As as posed to Chuck in a handful .. Strange, I can't explain that.
Forgot to mention, that's a good looking indo you have there.
