Datnoid growth rate and diet

Was wondering how fast datnoids grow and the best diet for them I can get one at 3.5-4 inches for 30.00 and was wondering how fast they grow until I can put them into my 220 gallon

They grow pretty fast when young. I assume this is an IT? Just feed it a goo diet and it should hit a foot at 2 yrs old.

Frozen market shrimp n pellets will give u best growth. 6-8" first year. 12" in 2 years. Mine r 5 years old, n are 12-14" big

Picked up 4 1.5" IT in October, they range from 4.5-8" now. I feed them hikari carnivore once a day.

Exactamundo!.....once you get your dat on good quality pellets it will start to put on size at a decent rate.Nothing else that I have fed them have netted the same results.They don't even need anything else but other stuff can be given as treats.

Give it plenty of space, a good diet and plenty of fresh, clean water. Nature should do the rest.
