got a indo dat few weeks ago, but its not stable, people say it should be stable by now, but its colors still messed up, it goes on and off. It mostly stays blacked. Anyone got any ideas of what i can do to help it out?

How big is he? Time is the only thing that will help.

I agree with time being the only thing that really makes or breaks a datnoids stabilization, provided of course that your water lies within Datnoid specifications. I had a 9" Indo for 6 months and he never stablized. You can try dark background, dim lightning, rock/wood work for hiding, and floating plants but ultimatley its up to the fish. Also, I have had some luck with the proper tankmates. I noticed that my Indo displayed better patterns when larger, more active fish were in the tank with him. well, good luck!

Do you have any hiding spots? They can be quite shy when little. Any fish that would be harrassing it?

ahh, i think its the king of my tank, no one touches him, i think hes about 9-10 inches. i made a plant dome thing lol, its darkest spot in the tank, and its surrounded by plants, he goes in there a lot.

it can take a while or even never to become stable, some are lucky and it takes hours.
its the look of the draw and maybe one day it may work out.
give it everything to mae it comfortable as possible like stuff agreed above and see what happens.

oh just made the plants a little more secretly better, so its like a home, he likes it now too, his color is little better, getting more stable, he dont like it when other fish besides the pleco to go in there :D
