What's your opinion on that? Do you think full-grown five-six inch roseline sharks would end up being live snacks one day, or no, they are just way too fast to be eaten. Just curious because my datnoid is getting up there in size in the grow tank and it's only a matter of time before I introduce him to the main monster display tank.

Have you guys ever kept datnoids with roselines?

I agree they are fast! That's what i said about my 4" pbass with my 7" tiger shovel nose! I was surprise! Through that foo (tsn) in the sump right after!

I have never kept Dats, but I know a Rosaline is an expensive snack for one, why take a chance w/ a $20/ea. schooling fish?
I have never kept roselines before but I suspect the dat will eventually wind up eating them.
If they'd eat Cichlids, they'd eat Rosalines lol I don't know much about Datnoids except what you told me

He ate the Peacock Bass? Should I worry about this type of stuff with a LSN? I kept channels that never bothered any fish, are all Sorubims like Tigrinium?
Had a 15" IT, brought home a 6" Roseline from the LFS. Two bites later, the Roseline was injured and soon died. Didn't even make a useful meal out of it.
Bet that was upsetting :(

shoot, hopefully it can wait a week for this 225g to come in. They were giving him feeder-fish too so he's already fish-trained :( It'll take him a week to acclimate anyway, don't u think?

Fish trained, you mean a fish killer! Haha! Yeah one week sounds about right! You should be good! I had mine in a 150g with 4x 4" azul. Basturd ate one of them! I could of had a steak dinner with that! Anyways just a heads up!

*crosses fingers*

They were giving him 1" rosy reds, but I got a 2" senegalensis, a 2" ARS and a 2" CAE I'm worried about. Whiskers touched every dry-food I have, no interest. I hope he's just acclimating.
