DATNOID QUESTION

i just got a baby datnoid 2 days ago. 2-3 inches and it wont move... it stays at the top left corner and the heads pointing at an angle towards the gravel. whats wrong with it??? shouldnt it be fine after 2 days introducing it to the tank. it will swim sometimes. maybe liek every hour take a lap aroudn the tank and then go back.

thats usual dat behavior the positions will get even wierder but make sure nothings picking on it and he has plenty of hiding spots

Yah mine hide in my 40g all the time and only came out for food. But after i moved him into my 100g he is out all the time and swimming with the big fish

mine is out all the time as well. what can i feed him though? he wont take any prepared foods, and hasnt eaten for 2 days.

Get used to it bro.

Because this could happen for a LONG time.

It is the one downside to datnoids, they can be very shy. I find if you have 3 or more they do better.

Being so small they are scared and frightened. When small I think it's natural for them to want to hide and feel protected. I would plump them up with guppys to fatten them up. Once they get a good healthy size (5-6") than start to ween them off
