It depends on your feeding and water change schedule.ok like how long for would it take for like a Datnioides microlepis to get full sized?
I agree with Polypterus_36 . I’d estimate if cared for correctly could be around 12” in a year or so. I’ve had some real finicky eaters and some that’ll eat anything at anytime which I could easily see big in a year.It depends on your feeding and water change schedule.
The fastest growth I heard of was 12 inches in 1 year, but the normal growth rate would be around 7 inches a year in my opinion.
I would keep one in a 125 for about a year or so.ok so how long could it live in a 125g standard dimensions before it is to big?
Ahhhh yes the VHS reference. Back to the ‘80’s!They grow fairly slow but can get pretty big. I personally like all the south East Asian variants. I like to start them small as it’ll take a long time before they’re too big and actually have to worry bout housing. But this is coming from someone who loves dats a lot with sizes ranging from 2”- bigger than VHS tape size ?
That’s awesome ! ?Ahhhh yes the VHS reference. Back to the ‘80’s!
Sorry about the Bala Shark, it just really wanted a picture with the VHS tape lol.View attachment 1448684View attachment 1448685
