Datnoid spitting out food

Got a 5" thinbar, had him for a few months now.
All he eats is Hikari frozen Krill.
A couple weeks ago he started spitting it out;
I thought it might be freezer burned or something
so I didn't feed him for a couple days so he would be nice and hungry.
Got a fresh block of krill and the same thing,
He eats them and then spits them out.
What's going on here???

Does he still seem to have a good appetite, and still goes after the krill as he normally would? Or does he just seem not as interested.
Has he been defecating a normal amount and normal looking feces?

Is there a reason you only feed him frozen krill?

HE won't eat any dry foods.
If you have any suggestions I'm all ears.
I haven't seen him defecate,actually I never have.
He looks at the food with interest but doesn't bite anymore.
He's starting to look thin.

go get some worms cut them to bite sized and toss those in all my datnoids love them my NTT eats krill too but doesn't seem to like it as much. he keeps in the krill better when it is cut smaller. if it comes down to it and u have to feed live just so he eats go buy some small guppys or ghost shrimp and toss them in yes it would be better to QT but if time doesn't permit then it is better to have your fish eat.
