Datnoid with Clown Loaches and Tiger Barbs

Just asking... has anyone done this combination before and worked?

I have never done the combo but would assume that the clown loaches would be fine and I'd suspect that the tiger barbs days would be numbered.

My bigger dats love tiger barbs. I get a couple dozen once a blue and let them go to town haha.

Ha.. my guess would be yes.. tiger barbs do get to only 3 inches and that is small enough for a large adult datnoid to suck 'n gulp them down D: Clown loaches on the other hand, no prob. They get big and grow slow like dats.. but gotta make sure you have both at the same size though. It would be quite a nice combination of fish that have tiger qualities in a tank if the dat isn't predatory.

They sometimes work but sometime don't. Had 5 NTts about 5-6inches that loved eating clown loaches. Figured that they wouldn't but 15 2-3inch clowns later I was done with that crap.

same here and yes i think the loaches would be fine but for barbs ... idk
