Just sold a Datnoid in perfect condition.
When it arrived at it's new home it ended up having a cloudy eye.
Can someone please reassure me that this is a frequent stress response which will remedy itself.
I've bought and sold numerous datnoids the past few years. When they are put in a bag or bucket, they get very stressed and tend to turn black, lay down on their sides and get cloudy eyes. Once they are settled into their new tank (preferably with some kind of temporary hiding spot for them), their colors become more natural and the cloud over their eyes goes away. Sometimes it takes 1-2 days but as long as they are healthy and you try to reduce their stress, the cloud eye should go away soon.
i dont think it will get cloudy eye just from travelling in a bag to its new home! - either the previous owner or the new owner has poor water quality! do some water changes and use melafix...
