Hello all,

I've noticed some very concerning spots on one of my Datnoids. They are white and slightly raised from the rest of the body. There seems to be no breaks in the scales / skin. It's not fuzzy; the edges are very defined. Upon close inspection they have tiny black dots throughout. There is one larger one and then a couple small ones.

Has anyone ever seen this before? Any thoughts on how to treat?

Thank you!

I’d check ur water quality first. If good then I’d keep the water clean and add salt 1 tsp per g. Dab the areas with methylenblue on a qtip. Cover any exposed heaters.

Why the methylene blue? Think it might be a fungus? Luckily I have some on hand. But I've only ever used it as a bath for discus eggs. Thank you!

Not fungus. But it clean the wounds and try to remove any bacteria and promotes healing in the healthy tissue.

Gotcha. Makes sense. So I just drip some straight MB on a qtip then dab the area directly on the fish? Sorry for so much follow-up.
