question: ive been trying to find a datnoids here in my area for like forever but cant seem to find once..then today i went back to the biggest lfs store in here and finally found some indo tiger..and huge siamese tiger..so i ask the store owner how theyre hide to find and they said its because dats are almost close to extinction!...is this true or is this some bull from the store owner??:(

All i know is that they cost $1000.00 per datnoid in australia now the reason for the high cost is because australia doesnt allow these fishes into the country! AUSTRALIA SUX!

Anyways back to the topic, im sorry i am not sure :(

WOW thats cheap! I envy you, the datnoid is a bit rich for me - Its stupid because the green arrowana cost about the same and the green is meant to be your main display not the datnoid.

Pulcher from the Thai water is already extincted.Pulcher from the Cambodian side hardly get hold of one small one even in Asian country and is very expensive.Heard that there is Pulcher from Veitnam water but i'm not sure about it but don't come cheap also.

Well ,that depends on and comes down to personal taste. Some favor the arowana and some will favor datnoids...I do believe that these fish will be near extinction in the future if they continue to be collected from the wild as babies in such large numbers...As far as I know, none of the species have been captive bred on a large enough scale to continually support their presence in the hobby.

about 250-300usd for an 1inch Pulcher fromm VN

Pulchers pretty much are extinct in the wild... Little dats are harvested en masse for the hobby, big ones are kept for food.. Only a couple years ago you could get baby puncher for $20. Now they are un heard of.
