Datnoids colouration

Hi .....I just bought two datnoid and after they are settled in the tank or during night time, they will start to lie on the glass with black colour instead of yellow and black stripes . Why is this so? Are they sick or shy?

they are just being "unstable"

Theres no telling, its unknown why they go unstable and there are about a hundred threads on datnoid stability

unstable... no worries.

should be swimming around after lights off.. either let them get used to it themselves (not all get use to it).. or u can add some driftwood and black water to help in stabilizing the fish

Thanks but will the black water sort of cloud the water?because I have a RTG and ppl say arowana needs very clean and clear water
