Hey guys My dats eat anything. Pellets, shrimp, etc. But they only eat things that sink to the bottom. Do you think it'll be hard to train them to eat floating foods such as Hikari tropical sticks?

you're lucky enough to make them eat anything that sinks. i'll gladly accept that. :D

My dats are the same way. Every now and then I can get my AT to eat floating by simply throwing in a mix of floating and sinking pellets. Worth a shot.

Mine actually took pellets on the first day I got them. I was really surprised lol. I only had one give me trouble but one day outta nowhere he started taking pellets.

Well my dats are big so I'd buy in bulk. The 2.2lb bags and I don't want to have 50 bucks go to waste

mine are a pain in the arse to train to eat prepared food. your so lucky!

I have two indos out of my group that are just bold enough to snatch a morsel from the water surface but they don't always do it.Heck, as long as they are taking prepared food that sinks I'm good with that.....Hikari sinking cichlid pellets are snapped up with gusto.

As long as they're taking sinking pellets I wouldn't mess with it. Is there a reason you want them to take floating pellets?
