I have a 4" indo dat that I brought from shark aquarium about a month ago. I fell in love with the little guy and decided I wanted more for my new 150g set up.
I purchased 3 more thinbars from "Fish Room Plus" but they are about 1.5".

The 1.5"ers are in the 150g all by themselves right now. I want to add the other 4" to the tank as well, but I am scared that he will eat the smaller dats.

Does anyone know if dats eat other dats? Or will they eat any fish that is small enough to fit into their mouths?

as long as the 1.5"ers have eastablished terratory in the 150.....you can add the 4"er. IMO.

they are fine ive had 12" dats with 2" dats before.

Really?? I would think that they would def eat the smaller 1's.

I'll give it a shot...I don't want to lose any of these dats as they are not cheap, and they are kinda hard to find!!

I have kept 10" with 1.5" without a problem

tigers will NOT eat tigers and it seams nor will other fish eat them

its like other fish see the dorsal fin and stay well away

if another fish were to eat a tiger it would do some real internal damage

Ok...I'll give it a shot. This weekend I will add the 4"er to the tank and see what happens...I might also be getting another 2" indo to add in too. Just got a lead on an indo for $30....Thats a good price right?? I paid $40 for the 4" indo.

have kept small 1-2" dats with 8-9" dats no problem, and when i give the occasional feeders (various barbs, similar in size to the small dats). the two big dats, ornates, ck, and aro would hunt only the barbs but never the tigers...
