Datnoids for a 55gal grow-out tank

I'm thinking of putting a couple of Dats in my 55 to grow them out.

Based on personal experiences, how long do you think I would be able to keep them in there?

I'm also a first time Dat owner and I was wondering if there were any "tricks-of-the-trade" that have been proven successful by Dat owners.

how big are they right now? they should be good for a few years atleast as they do grow very slow. that also depends on what u feed and how often, how often u keep up with ur water. and how many are in the tank. mine are in a 60gal and i can see them staying in there for over 2 years as they are only 1" and are supposed to only grow 3" a year or so

Thanks, ethnics. I haven't purchased them yet. The ones at my lfs are a little under 2" right now. I keep up with my water maintenance on a regular basis and usually feed frozen foods and pellets.
