I bought my first datnoids almost 5months ago, purchased 3baby 1inch silvers and put them in a 65gal brackish tank with their only companion being an adult 1.5foot moray eel, I know it sounds crazy but they have been doing fine theyre very active and the eel just seems to ignore them, anything else that i put in the tank (live shrimps, gambusia, and sailfin mollies) gets eaten but he doesnt even chase the the dats! go figure haha!

All i have managed to get the dats eating is frozen bloodworms and since i purshased them (they were all same size around 1inch) 2 of them have only grown slightly and the 3rd one is double their size!

Anyways im quite happy with my dats but since theyre really small and the eel isnt too active the aquarium looks empty and i was planning on getting a bigger tank. So i was wondering could i get any other dats other than silvers that i can put in brackish water?

The NGT is said to live in brackish water but I've never seen it done in an aquarium...As for your silvers, you could try dropping in some small raw shrimp. It could help fatten them up and get some size on them.I've never seen a dat that could resist shrimp.
