datnoids mixing with frontsa?

theres a nice frontosa for sale locally but he only has one and i have 3 datnoids will they work together? my other concern would be ph and kh for the frontosa thanks

I don't really see a problem with mixing them. However, I wouldn't mix African cichlids with dats for my personal taste. Frontosas look better in a school, getting just one wouldn't make them justice to their coolness. I would probably suggest you to either get more than just one Frontosas, or get another cichlid (South American) or just get the datnoids only.

Just make sure you get fish that are not overly aggressive.

Done the combo before along with other sp of fish. Didn't see any problem though some might argue that they have different water requirements but worked for me.

Your dats would be more stable with mixing cichlids in. A happy dat usually dark.
