well im not sureabout this. but 2 out of my 4 datnoids got ICH. the reason that im not sure is i saw it and then i caught the fish and then when i took it out of the water i coudlnt see the white stuff anymore and then when i rubbed the scales and put it back in the white stuff was gone. now that i put it in again its back onthe fish its white on the body. so is it ICH? if it is how coudl i treat it. cuz the dats are my favorite in the tank. but the good thing is they actually swim all over the tank now instead of just hiding.

well actually all 4 of my datnoids have it now that i look closely...
i have them all in a 10 gal with the temp at 86. will this be okay i dont have any salt right now ill go get some tomrow since its 1 am right now and no stores are open

The most common appearance of ich is small white spots that look like grains of salt, since dats are salt tolerant you might want to treat with a heavier salt treatment then is usual for other fish, as much as a full tablespoon per gallon, just remember it will look worse the first couple of days and you should treat for at least 10 days.
The other thing is that with ick you need to treat the tank they were in as well though if no other fish are showing spots you can try just the 1 tablespoon of salt per 5 gallons water, Myself, I would go ahead with 2 teaspoons per gallon, the reason is if spots were showing up on the dats that means there are spore bodies in the substrate of the tank.
