Somewhere???
bought two indo dats at less than 2 inches each. just wondering if they would be ok with 3 german rams of equal size? i know germans can be fairly aggressive. dont want the dats to get messed up.
thanks

I considered this possibility too, but opted to go with a separate tank. Good move. My 1" dats beat up a 2" swordtail, and she was holding.

i think you could try it, and possibly get away with it. This will ultimately be decided on the 2 fish personality's. BUt give it a whirl and let me know. haha, My girlfriend would love to do this...

If anything its VICE VERSA... The dats only fight with Conspecifics for the most part.

I thought about adding my baby Dats to a tank of Bolivian Rams, Congo Tetras, Neon Rainbows and a couple of Geophagus surinamensis, but decided against it because there are several Ottos which they might try to eat and also some still small Siamese Flying Foxes that might tempt them. Plus the tank is heavily planted and once they went in I'd hate to think about trying to get them out!!

Eventually they may get a tank of their own, or go in with some mild mannered cichlids.
