Hey all! I was wondering and would like some input about this. I have all my 13 0.75"-1" Indo in my 29 gallon and was wondering if I can add my group of 7 1.5"-2" oddball clown loaches in with them. Do you think the dats will be stressed out by all the loaches movements? Do you think the loaches will also try and pick at the little datnoids?

So in the end I will like to know if I can add my loaches or not.
Thanks all!

Anyone?

The datnoids are healthy as can be and most are already stable. The loaches has been with me for 2 months already and all are as healthy as can be as well. Both also has no signs of disease whatsoever. I don't see that as a risk, but more towards the loaches being annoying towards the datnoids...any other inputs....I was deciding whether to do it tonight or not.

umm well the loached dont show now, but in a new tank, they might show a sign of ich, but once they catch the ick then u have to treat the tank and all that, and it may hurt the dats.. i mean you can try it. i heard loach and cory cat can go with dats when they are small..

I've seen it being done before. An aquarium wit big datz, clown loaches, tigrinus cat, and frontosa. so why not? give it a try.

im not saying he cant, but the risk of the CL gettin ick can spread to the dats..

Well if this helps....

The 29 gallon was the original home of my loaches before I had to make a 10 gallon setup for them. That is why I was wandering if I can reintroduce them back home. Gosh...maybe I'll have to put more thoughts to it. Thanks for the help though.

I tried a tank like that once. I wanted Dats and Clown Loaches and figured, both of them grow slow, so they'll probably have the same growth rate and can grow together. Well...I introduced my Dats into the tank with my CLs that have already been established for a couple of months. Within a week, the CLs started dying off 1, then 3, then the last 2:cry: The Dats were fine and the only conclusion I could come up with was that maybe the Dats carried some parasites or disease that they were immunized to because they all lived. So good luck with yours and they only advice I can give is QUARANTINE;) Oh...and on a side note, they were getting along perfectly the short time they were together.
