moving my 12" jardini from 75gal to 180gal soon. was thinking bout getting some dats and bichirs but ive read some threads about jars being to agressive. i want them still but dont want to put them through that. should i get them yes or no?

Risky. Might work....might not. I wouldn't risk the Dats. Maybe real large Dat that the Jardini could not see as food. Sometimes Jardini are just plain mean!!

i got a 3" dat in with my jar and CK...

and I have to say if there is any fish that is mean in my tank, it would be the dat. He punks the CK and jar all day.

I think Jars have a mean streak in general out of all the aros, but I think each individual fish has its own temperament. Is it worth risking?

my NGT beats up on my jar, chasing him constantly around the tank, all day
really ?? maybe coz they came from the same neighbourhood n have same attitude towards other fish .... just kidding :D
as far as i know ngt is quite shy fish rather jards

just try it out.. its risky but it can work out.. i have my jar with dats armatus and pbass.. so far no dead fish... this is an 18" Jar.. be prepared for back up plan..

It's not just a jar that won't get on with the tiger it's the tiger that won't get on with the aro

Big wide bars pulcher or ST are a great fish and most people who own one would probably never want to sell it but they don't have much choice as the fighting with a expencive Asian aro is just to bad

NGT and a jar is just asking for problems both are the most aggressive of there species
