Dats keep fighting. Need help to stop it.

So i got 2 IT right now same sizes. So one has been in the tank longer i bought the other one last night. So i was watching the one that has been in the tank keeps like pecking at the new guy . How do i stop it i did move the dat i bought to diffrent tank but i woud like to keep them togather. Any tips on how to stop it .

Yeah bro, you need at least 5... some people have had success with 3...

Umm.... NO!
They actually have another NGT at my LFS... I'm going to get it though If it don't work out you want me to send it over??? It'll cost ya though...

You need 3 or more. You can get away with just 3 but like everyone else said the more the better.

If they're larger (12" and up) you can get away with 3, but the more the better.

I never had less than 10 dats in one tank.

I have 22 larger in one tank and 78 in the other tank

yeah they seem to go after fish that resemble them so the more the better
tank mates help too it helps them feel like a community and not a species tank where they always attack eachother
