Dat's slow growers ???

Hi Guy's

I have a thin bar and was wondering if anyone could tell me how fast they grow i've had it about 3 months now bought it at 2.5" and it's only 3" now i feed it bloodworms every other day and the occasional small dendrebeana worm.

anyone got any ideas? what was your dat's growth rate ?

Dats do grow very slow.

I have one that grew quite fast though.

From 1" to 10" in 2 years.

great looks like i'm gonna have to power feed these bad boys ! because my aro is getting big... QUICKLY !

They are slow but feeding with worms is going to make growing even slower.
Get it onto fish and other meaty foods and it should speed up a bit.
Keep on top of your water conditions as Thin bars are very delicate!

If you stuff them full of food they grow quicker.

I got my thinbars on krill & they are growing a lot quicker than bloodworms. Good luck

water conditions are superb well as good as they can be, as for feeding him on krill he won't take it non of my fish will entertain it only my Arowana will take it.

Are you feeding frozen or freeze dried krill? You'll have much better luck with frozen krill.

yeah i've been using frozen mate still got half a pack left ... lol
