Dats with Gars

I love dats, but just can't seem to find any 5"+ ones right now. I love gars too, Have a chance to get some Spotted Gars, thinking 2. I have to IT dats around 6-7" and a 15" flor gar.
Has anyone ever kept multiple gar with your datnoids? How do they/should they get along?

i have four forida gars with two indo dats. beside that, there are a ck and 2 gaints red tail guoramis too

i would say you can do it, your gar are obveously to big to get eaten, and your dats are to big to be concidered food, by the look at your photo you might need to plant it a lil more though, but i would say its a safe mix, just be ready to seperate them if you have to

I have 2x 9" florida gar and 1x 4" NGT and 1x NTT living together. I think the way that the tigers are shaped make them hard for the gar to eat.

I have a dat and a gar together. the gar does'nt bother anybody in the tank.

I have 4 12 inch gars and 6 dats size ranging from 6 to 14inch living together quite peacefully,the gars would have some of its tail torn sometimes but overall they are doing fine.

my dat and gar never bothers each other besides dinner time haha
