Daughters early birthday present

It’s a week early, but my husband and I surprised our daughter with a green cheek conure as her birthday present. She is so good with birds and they are so comfortable around her.
This guy came from a pet store so he isn’t tame at all. My daughter has spent all morning with him and only 15mins in she had him eating from her hand

Yeah that wouldn’t surprise me either. Haha. He has climbed up on her hand now and even let her cup her hand around him.

He sat like that for a couple minutes.

It took the better part of the day, but she got Paulie out of his cage.
I’m very proud of her progress with him.

Paulie is such a clown and has really won over everyone in the family. Since my daughter was sleeping in this morning I had some one on one time with him.

I’m really loving this little guy. My bourke parakeet I had a few years back was never this loving.
