I was wndering if anyone had any experience with these guys!Care,Tank size, feeding, temp, and if diffrent species of day geckos could be mixed.Thank you

I've had mine for 10 years. He lives in a 55 gallon planted tank. I feed him 10 crickets a week, and fruit once a week. I wouldn't mix secies, they're VERY territorial.

Yes they can be mixed, with caution just study max lengths etc... some do get bigger than others. They require a nice hot spot humidity and their diet consists of cricks and supplement it with fruit extract, or baby food mildly dosed with some calcium. Comfortably 3-4 in a 2 foot tall 2foot wide 3 foot long foot print.

Interesting. There is so many species!!!Are some harder than the others??And what are small-medium sized ones that are compatible?

The first part of my post was an attempt at sarcasm pay no attention to it lol... There is really no reason to mix the species here actually, theyre all very interactive amongst the same specie. Males indeed are very territorial as with most geckos, so its always based to have the group be female heavy with one dominant male.

Interesting. So what kind should I get?Im not really sure yet, anyone throw out suggestions.(I realized I used interesting as both my starting wirds on 2 posts lol)

If you go about kingsnake.com just look under geckos classifieds and look for day geckos or phelsuma which is part of their scientific classification.

Madagascars are pretty easy to take care of, and they're hardy. Just a warning, my male killed the 2 females.....in a 55 gallon.....they're that territorial.

shiit i love day geckos but they dont sell them at my pet store :(, also the only problem is that they are turning into the "nemo" of geckos through the geiko ad...
