I've seen these for sale online, and a lot cheaper than mice are so as like every other herp keeper, I was curious if this was a way to keep costs down.

Are chicks as good for snakes as rodents?
Are there any issues with feeding them often to snakes?
How big are they? (What rodent size would they equate to? Hopper mouse?)

Obviously I'd be wanting to buy 20+ to make sure they stayed frozen during transport, so how long can they be kept in a freezer for?

Thank you,
Paul

I believe chicks are more adequate for arboreals, chondros and tree boas and the like?

Would be perfectly suitable, however, you need to vary their diet. Chicks and other birds do not have the nutritional value that rats/rabbits have. They're not as high in protien, for one.

I was bored yesterday and was going to ask how many people feed birds to their snakes. They are good source to vary the diet.
