Just looking at replacing my AC pumps (Danner) with some of these high flow, low watt DC pumps. I am wondering if some members could mention some of the brands that work well for them. They vastly differ in price so thought I would go with some actual reviews. For instance is a Jabao http://www.reefsupplies.ca/online-store/Jebao-DCP-10000-Sine-tech-Silent-Pump-1720-to-2640-GPH.html
being half the price as some of the others out there is it worth it to spend the money on on something else? I wonder about the longevity of these pumps anyway so want some opinions on what is a good bet.

Thanks

Yep, the Jebao DCP pumps are awesome. I’ve had mine running for almost a year. I also just saw that my LFS is replacing their external pool style pumps with Jebao DCP 18000’s. I asked them how they like them and they said that they had to add new drains in their systems because they were flowing too much water for their current drains. It’s hard to explain how their system works but they had to double the draining capacity of their system. For the price, I don’t think you can go wrong. Go ahead and get a spare if your worried about reliability.
