dead anemone?

What kind is it? I have experience with Condi anemones and carpet anemones. Although it is normal for an anemone to inflate/deflate, it should not remain deflated too long. Is it moving? The key indicator of death is disintigration. If it is still moving, but deflated, its still alive, although it may not be in the best of health.

Depends...i am looking at mine right now and he is moving pretty well...but that is a condi, and they are notorious for moving alot. it may not be changing its position in the tank, but if it is moving its tentacles, its still living....if it looks really deflated and discolored, it is probably on its last legs

If it does die, get it out quick. They'll make a nasty mess.

what type of lighting do you have and how offten do you spot feed it?
i spot feed mine twice a week and it deflates about 2 days during the week, but when it does that its pooping. it will have a brown slim com out of it. this is a condy im talking about.
